General Description
Stems 18–45 cm, mostly decumbent, nodes hairless. Leaves: blades 3–5 mm wide; ligules 1–2 mm long, membranous, throat hairy. Inflorescence of 2 to 7 digitately or almost digitately arranged secund spikes, 3–9 cm long. Spikelets 1.5–2 mm long, ovate; first glume very short, about 0.2 mm long, the second glume 1.5–2 mm long, with glandular hairs. Range Comments
Introduced throughout nearly all of N. America except at the extreme northern latitudes (Lavin in Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
