Diagnostic Characteristics
Calyx usually strongly purplish-tinged, the lobes not heavily veined; segments of the leaflets commonly lobed at least half their length, tending to be narrow, averaging 2-4(-5) mm broad; flowers often several (Hitchcock, 1961, Vasc. Pl. Pacific Northwest, Vol. 3).

Range Comments
ID, MT, south to NV, AZ, NM, but also from Baker County, OR (Kartesz 2009).
