General Description
Dioecious shrub or small tree. Stems erect, 2–6 m; twigs sometimes ending in thorns. Leaves opposite, 2–6 cm long, glandular-serrate, glabrous; petioles 1–2 cm long. Inflorescence several pedicellate flowers in leaf axils. Flowers functionally unisexual, 4-merous; sepals 1–3 mm long; petals erect; stigmas 4. Drupe 4-seeded, 5–7 mm across (Lesica 2012.
