General Description
Plants dioecious. Stems 20-80 cm. Leaves mostly claudine, 3–4 times ternate; ultimate leaflets 10-35 mm long, 3- to 5-lobed, glaucous and gladular beneath. Inflorescence a terminal, leafy bracteate panicle. Flowers with white to purplish sepals 2-6 mm long; anthers ca. 3 mm, shorter than mature filaments. Fruits 6 to 9, spreading to reflexed achenes, the body 5-8 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
