General Description
Doll's-eyes Fibrous-rooted perennial. Stems 30–80 cm. Leaves alternate, 2 to 3 times divided into 3; the ultimate leaflets ovate, 2–12 cm long, with lobed or toothed margins. Flowers ascending-pedunculate in a short raceme that elongates to 10 cm with age; sepals 3 to 5, white, petal-like, deciduous; petals white, clawed, 2–4 mm long; stamens many, exceeding the sepals; pistil 1. Fruit a several-seeded, red or white berry 4–7 mm long (
