General Description
Plants usually wholly submerged. Stems 5–20 cm. Leaves linear, 5–10 mm long, not joined together around the stem. Flowers solitary in leaf axils; bracteoles absent. Fruit 1–2 mm long, round in outline, sometimes with narrowly winged margins at the apex (Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
