General Description
Stems erect, 5–50 cm. Leaf blades green, fleshy, glabrous, triangular-hastate, to 8 cm long with entire to crenate margins. Inflorescence glomerules 3–10 mm in diameter, in upper leaf axils and a terminal spike. Flowers: calyx 3- to 5-parted, segments red, nearly distinct, <1 mm long; stamens 3.
