General Description
Plants simple or clumped, similar to
C. missouriensis. Stems 3–7 cm high, <1/2 buried in soil. Spines white, weathering to brown, 11 to 55 per areole, 7–22 mm long; central spines 3 to 6, reddish. Flowers 2–3 cm long; tepals 21 to 56, magenta. Fruit green to brown, 12–28 mm long (
