General Description
Biennial or short-lived perennial with a simple to rarely sparingly branched caudex. Stems to 75 cm, terminal. Basal leaves oblanceolate, 1–4 cm long with entire margins. Stem leaves lanceolate, slightly auriculate. Vestiture of dense, small, branched hairs on basal leaves and stem base, glabrous above. Petals white or purple, 5–10 mm long. Fruits 3–8 cm × 1.5–2 mm, arcuate; pedicels glabrous or with simple hairs, ascending to weakly descending; seeds narrowly wing-margined, in 1 row per locule (
