General Description
Biennial or short-lived perennial (monocarpic) with a simple caudex.. Stems to 80 cm, terminal. Basal leaves petiolate, oblanceolate, 1–4 cm long. Stem leaves narrowly lanceolate, auriculate-clasping. Vestiture appressed simple and 3-branched hairs on lower stems and basal leaves, glabrous above. Flowers pink to purple; petals 7–11 mm long. Fruit 15–80 mm × 1.5–2 mm, straight to slightly arcuate; pedicels glabrous, spreading at maturity; seeds with an apical wing 0.3 mm wide, in 1 or 2 irregular rows (
