General Description
Short-lived perennial sometimes with a branched caudex. Stems erect or ascending, simple, 5–40 cm. Herbage sparsely hirsute. Leaves basal and cauline; blades 2–10 cm long. Flowers: calyx 3–6 mm long in fruit, uncinate-hirsute; corolla blue, limb 4–8 mm across. Nutlets black, 1–2 mm long (Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Lesica (2012) recognizes this species under the name Myosotis sylvatica Hoffm.
