This plant does not occur in Montana. It was reported to be present in Blaine County, Montana by the Atlas of the Flora of the Great Plains (The Great Plains Flora Association 1977 publication. Correspondence with all herbaria involved in the contribution of data for this book have no record of this specimen. Additional searches in Montana herbaria and with botanical experts have found no specimen. Therefore, the MTNHP believes this was an error in the publication and the species does not occur in Montana.
