General Description
Taprooted or rhizomatous. Stems erect, 30–75 cm, branched above. Leaves 5–8 cm long, linear, entire or with remote teeth; basal absent at flowering. Involucre 7–10 mm high. Rays 4 to 6; ligules 3–9 mm long. Achenes 3–6 mm long, smooth (Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
