General Description
Rhizomatous. Stems erect, 5–30 cm, branched above. Leaves 2–9 cm long, linear-lanceolate with pinnate, recurved lobes; the basal present at flowering. Involucre 9–14 mm high. Rays 5 or 6; ligules 5–12 mm long. Achenes 3–5 mm long, bumpy (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
