General Description
Stems erect to ascending, 5–25 cm; twigs glandular, brittle. Leaves oblanceolate to oblong, mostly with wavy margins, 1–3 cm long, stipitate-glandular. Inflorescence of solitary heads on branch tips. Involucres obconic, 8–14 mm high; phyllaries subequal, narrowly oblanceolate, green or whitish with green tips. Rays 0 to 8, 7–10 mm long. Disk flowers 15 to 40; corolla 8–11 mm long. Achenes ellipsoid, 5–8 mm long, pubescent (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
