General Description
Stoloniferous, mat-forming. Stems ascending to erect, 3–15 cm. Basal leaves spatulate, 5–15 mm long with rounded-mucronate tips, 1-nerved. Stem leaves linear, 1–2 cm long. Inflorescence corymbiform with 3 to 7 heads; male plants absent. Involucre 7–11 mm high. Phyllaries white above, green to pink below. Corolla 5–7 mm long. Pappus 4–9 mm long. Achenes 1–2 mm long, glabrate (Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
