The Canada Warbler inhabits a variety of forest types and breeds from northeastern British Columbia east across Canada’s boreal forests and the Northeastern United States, as well as through the central ridge of the Allegheny Mountains. The species primarily winters in South America and is an uncommon migrant through eastern Montana with less than six observation records typically reported each year (Reitsma et al. 2009, MTNHP 2019).
