The Ash-throated Flycatcher breeds from central and south-central Washington, south through central Oregon and extreme south-central Idaho and southwestern Wyoming through California, Nevada, Utah, western and southern Colorado, western Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico and western and central Texas (Cardiff and Dittmann 2002). In Montana, this species has a few records over the past decade (Montana Bird Distribution Committee 2012).
