General Description
Plants simple to rarely clumped. Stems to 5 cm high, deeply buried in soil. Spines white, weathering to brown, 6 to 21 per areole, 4–15 mm long; central spines 0 or 1. Flowers 1–2 cm long; tepals 13 to 25, yellowish with green to pink midstripe. Fruit red, 6–10 mm long (
