General Description

In North America, Sabine’s Gull breeds from the west coast of Alaska north into the high Arctic. The species is pelagic in winter and largely concentrated in the Humboldt and Benguela currents. The species is an uncommon migrant across Montana with fewer than ten observations reported in a typical year (Day et al 2001, MTNHP 2019).
