Migration
Fall migration encompasses Montana. Spring migration occurs mostly west and south of Montana. Bozeman migration dates are from August 20 to September 25, with peaks on September 10 (Skaar 1969).
Habitat
Migrants are likely in the same areas as Semipalmated and Least Sandpipers (Johnsgard 1986).
