In the Bozeman area migration occurs from April to May 10 and from October 25 to November 25, with peaks occuring on April 15 and November 8. Montana migration peaks the last week of April and late October. Destinations are unknown.
During migration in the Bozeman area, large concentrations are on the large lakes, but they do occur on ponds and rivers (Skaar 1969).
