Range Comments

The Montana population stemed from an introduced population in latilong 39. Distribution was centered around L39, south of Livingston. Nesting information and dates are not available. The population was eliminated by agency personel due to problems caused to native swans (hybidization, competition, etc.). As of April 1993 only 1 bird was still alive (Tom Lemke, personal communication).
