General Description
Stems spreading, 10–30 cm long. Leaves: blades 1–3 mm wide. Inflorescence a contracted to open panicle 2–5 cm long. Spikelets 5–8 mm long. Lemmas about 7 to 20 florets (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
