General Description
Stems 20–80 cm. Leaves 7–15 cm long. Inflorescence a branched, pyramidal panicle with numerous flowers. Flowers: tepals 1–1.5 mm long; filaments petal-like, longer than the tepals. Berry red, 4–8 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
