General Description
Scapose, rhizomatous perennials. Scape ascending to erect, 7–12 cm, long-hairy with 1 small bract. Leaves 2 to 3, basal; the blade 8–20 cm long, narrowly obovate, appressed pubescent beneath. Inflorescence 1(2) terminal flower. Flowers regular, campanulate, opening to star-shaped, white; tepals separate, lanceolate, 15–25 mm long; stamens shorter than tepals; anthers yellow; style barely 2-lobed. Fruit an ellipsoid, blue berry 6–13 mm long with 10 to 18 seeds (
