General Description
Stems 5–15 cm. Leaves inrolled, erect, ca. 0.5 mm wide; basal bladeless. Inflorescence 6–17 mm long, a linear spike; bracts 3–5 mm long. Spikelets: upper male, 1-flowered; lower female, 1- or 2-flowered. Perigynia light brown, 2–4 mm long. Achenes 2–3 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press.
