General Description
Perennial with a woody base. Stems usually several, branched, ascending to erect, 4–25 cm, puberulent. Leaves 5–15 mm long, puberulent. Verticillasters with 2 to 5 flowers. Flowers: calyx hispid, glandular, 5–6 mm long, the teeth closing in fruit; corolla lavender, 7–11 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
