General Description
Annual herbs; foliage sparsely stellate-hairy or becoming glabrous. Stems erect, branched, 10–40 cm. Leaves linear, 1–3 cm long. Inflorescence with bracts narrowly ovate, 5–15 mm long, as wide or wider than the fruit. Fruit ovate, 2–3 mm long, not wing-margined (

Diagnostic Characteristics
Annual herbs; foliage sparsely stellate-hairy or becoming glabrous. The wings of the fruit lack margins, or if present, are 0.3 mm or less wide. In contrast, the wings on the fruits of Corispermum americanum are prominent (Mosyakin 2003 in Fl. N. Amer. Vol. 4).
