General Description
Stems erect to ascending, branched from the base, farinose, 5–15 cm. Leaf blades densely farinose, somewhat fleshy, narrowly lanceolate, 1–2 cm long, the lower 3-veined with entire margins. Inflorescence glomerules in dense terminal and axillary panicles. Flowers: calyx of 5 distinct segments, ca. 1 mm long; stamens 5. Seed flattened-globose, warty, 0.8–1.1 mm across (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
In MT scattered mostly in the eastern two-thirds of the state; AB south to CA, CO, and TX (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
