State Rank Reason (see State Rank above)
Artemisia norvegica is not documented in Montana (MTNHP Status Review in 2018). All Montana specimens that were originally identified as Artemisia norvegica have all been verified as being Artemisia campestris var. borealis. This includes specimens collected in Glacier National Park in 1991 and older specimens collected by L.M. Umbach and R.S. Williams. A conservation status rank is not applicable (SNA) because this plant is not known to occur in Montana.
