General Description
tems 30–60 cm, decumbent and rooting at lower nodes; nodes hairy. Leaves: blades 4–7 mm wide; ligules 1–2 mm long, membranous, throat sparsely hairy. Inflorescence of 7 to 10 digitately or almost digitately arranged secund spikes, 8–12 cm long. Spikelets 2.8–3 mm long, narrowly ovate; first glume very short, about 0.3 mm long, the second glume 1–2 mm long, without glandular hairs. Lemmas: fertile lemma narrowly elliptic, light brown at maturity (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
