Numerous collections at MONT from BigHorn, McCone, Fergus, Valley counties. Also known in Beaverhead Co.
General Description
Dioecious or monoecious annual with farinose foliage. Stems erect, branched, 10–40 cm. Leaf blades ovate with acute tips and entire margins, 1–3 cm long, 3-nerved from the base. Inflorescence axillary glomerules, female below male. Male flowers 4- to 5-parted. Female flowers lacking a calyx; pistillate bracts united to the tip. Mature pistillate bracts fiddle-shaped, 3–4 mm long with toothed margins and tuberculate faces below (
