General Description
Stems 12–30 cm. Leaf blades 2–8 cm wide, suborbicular to reniform with crenate-dentate margins; petioles brown-hairy. Inflorescence of 8 to 20 flowers, maturing upward. Flowers saucer- to cup-shaped; calyx 2–4 mm wide, the lobes reflexed; petals 1–3 mm long with 2 to 4 pairs of lobes; stamens 5, opposite the sepals. Capsule almost completely inferior (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
