Leaves basal; the blade 1–6 cm long, oblanceolate, tomentose below, sometimes glabrous above. Inflorescence capitate to umbellate, bracts spreading, leaf-like; involucres tomentose, 4–9 mm long with 5 to 8 erect lobes. Flowers 4–6 mm long, yellow, campanulate with a tubular base; tepals hirsute, similar in shape; stamens exserted. Achenes 3–5 mm long
