General Description
Annual, sometimes overwintering, with ciliate stems and petioles. Stems trailing to ascending, 5–40 cm. Leaves ovate, 5–30 mm long, petiolate. Inflorescence a terminal, leafy-bracted, long-hairy cyme. Flowers: sepals lanceolate, 3–5 mm long, obscurely 1-veined, pubescent; petals short or absent; stamens 3 to 5. Capsule 3–5 mm long, opening by 6 slits (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
