This species was first recognized in Montana. The Type specimen is from the Cabinet Mountains and is currently the only Montana occurrence.
 
General Description

Range Comments
This species is newly recognized and has been found in 14 locations in British Columbia, one location in Idaho, and one location in Montana.

Habitat
Wet/humid old-growth forests to about 1000 meters. It has been found on tree trunks, branches, fine twigs, and logs of Tsuga heterophylla, Thuja plicata, and Pseudotsuga menziesii.
