General Description
Stems scapose, 25–60 cm. Leaves basal, 2, opposite, appressed to the ground, broadly elliptic, 7–15 cm long, glossy. Inflorescence open, 5–20 cm long with 5 to 30 flowers; bracts 5–15 mm long. Flowers white; lateral sepals 6–10 mm long; hood 4–6 mm long; lip petal 7–13 mm long, linear-lanceolate, pendent; spur slender, curved, 10–20 mm long. Capsule 10–12 mm long, cylindric (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
