General Description
Glabrous perennial with spreading roots. Stems erect, 30–70 cm. Leaves alternate, oblong to ovate, entire, cordate, 25–45 mm long. Inflorescence a terminal umbel with yellow-green, reniform bracts and solitary, bracteate cyathia in upper leaf axils. Cyathia 2–3 mm long; the 4 yellowish glands with a lunate appendage. Capsule 2–3 mm long, rugose (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
